There are some other beaches like \u201cPefkoulia\u201d (4 km) and Mylos (3 km) a beach of incredible beauty, without any access by car, but only accessible by boat. There are frequent itineraries from Agios Nikitas. The ring road from Vassiliki-Athani can get you to the amazing beaches of Gialos \u2013 Egremni and Porto Katsiki with the white shingly beach and the turquoise waters. From Sterea Ellada there is access through a floating bridge of 50 meters without toll. 20 km away from the town of Lefkada, there is Aktio Airport. On the west side of the island, the landscape is wild, with endless white shingly beaches, with pine trees that touch the sea and with the amazing sunsets in the expanse of the Ionian Sea. On the east side of the island, the landscape is milder, bright green, without great and abrupt altitude boundaries and with calm waters at the endless beaches. On your way, you will meet famous Nydri and just opposite of it, there are the islands called Prigiponisia and among them Skorpios.
